Stage Combat
Overview
The stage combat minor at Illinois State gives you certification-level training to perform staged violence for theatre, television, film, and video games.
As a student in stage combat, you'll get solid foundation in acting and all the skills you need to begin a career in the field.
Our program offers hands-on training that gives you experience in unarmed, knife, and single-sword fighting. This training can lead you to graduate as an "Advanced Actor/Combatant" through the Society of American Fight Directors.

How to Apply
Application Information
Minors can only be declared by current Illinois State students. Current students can use the Apply to Your Program tool on My.IllinoisState.edu. There will be an audition required for entrance into this minor.
